Chipiona, July 13, 2023
The Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de Regla has begun a series of new and different visits to those that are usually carried out. This is a special visit that will take place every Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. The schedule has been established for these visits given the importance of light in the Sanctuary and since it is used as a guiding thread for it. This has been explained by the guide responsible for visits to the temple, José Antonio Bejarano, in statements made to the municipal radio television, in which he recalls that tickets or reservations for it can be made at the price of 7 euros in the souvenir shop, by calling the Sanctuary or by email

“What we implemented as a novelty that we have been structuring for a year, is very special because we try to explain the Sanctuary, the Camarín, and the Upper Cloister from a different perspective. We try to make the visit an experience by giving prominence to an element that is something vital in this Sanctuary, which is light, and light helps us to create a common thread in the visit to explain why the Sanctuary is so magical and why there is a I have such a direct link between the virgin and the light because also where there is light there is shadow and that part is very important”
On the other hand, Bejarano recalled that the usual visits continue to take place on Tuesdays at 10:45 a.m. and Fridays at 7:00 p.m. with a first part of the visit dedicated to visiting the cloister and the history of the building through of architectural elements. The second part is dedicated, he explained, to the museum area where there are three rooms, a mission room, with pieces that the Franciscans have brought from different places, a second small room where all the cloaks that the Virgin has worn are collected. and the third liturgy room in which the symbols that define the Franciscan Community are explained.
