Every year, at the end of September, the Palmicha Festival arrives in Chipiona, a traditional celebration that is heir to the pilgrimage that was held in the pine forest to celebrate the end of the agricultural season and that, over time, became be done before summer.

The Brotherhood of Our Lady of Regla del Pinar has made public the poster for the Palmicha Festival 2023, which will be celebrated on Sunday, September 24. This year, as usual, the events will begin with a thanksgiving mass at 11:30 a.m. that will be officiated by the Franciscan José Luis Gavarrón.

This festivity, which has the collaboration of the Festival Delegation of the Chipiona City Council, is dedicated on this occasion to Joaquín Rivera Camacho, who was the elder brother of the Brotherhood of Pinar.

After the celebration of the mass, at 12:30 p.m. the great equestrian parade will take place, which will be presented by Rafael Garrido Acosta 'Fofi'. In it, the riders Luis Manuel Rodríguez Guzmán, José Manuel Lorenzo Rodríguez, Jesús Guzmán Moreno and Juan Diego Reyes del Moral will participate in cowboy dressage; in classical dressage María Pereira Burgos, Irene Inglés de Béjar, Blanca Ferris Borreguero and Macarena Delage Cruzado; and Beatriz Rodríguez Porras will perform as a dressage rider.

Subsequently, at 6:00 p.m. the traditional horse ribbon race will take place, for which you will have to register at the door of the hermitage.
